I am an Associate Professor at Columbia Law School, where I conduct research on on the economic effects of taxation, especially the taxation of firms. 

Before joining Columbia, I served at the US Treasury Department and the White House, and practiced law at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz. I completed my Ph.D. in Economics at UC Berkeley.
